Crispy Sugar Cookie(from a convenient store)

I went to a convenient store nearby to buy regular items for the week, I happened to see a tiny box of cookies with no name or brand on it. The storekeeper Ajay, was actually giving away cookie pieces to all the parties who seem to be interested (for free). So had a tiny piece & it was just out of the world - fresh, crispy on the outside & soft on the inside, smells like it is just out of the oven. So I bought one box for me & my room mate.
The size of the cookie was small & just right for a mini dessert after lunch or a snack along with a cup of tea in the evening. The sweetness was perfect(not too much or not too little either). It costed me 45 bucks for 10 pieces. I thought, it is a decent value for money.
Then I started thinking about what could have been the ingredient of this simple but tasty recipe. So here is the picture of the cookie & I jotted down some items that might have gone into making this cookie.

The cookie box:

A better picture to see the texture of the cookie:

This is what I could think of,
1)All purpose flour
2)Gram Flour
3)Sugar
4)Ghee
5)Baking powder(probably)

So readers/viewers can fill me up here, by giving your idea of ingredients which might have gone into making the cookie pictured above or let me know as to what I could be missing in the ingredient list jotted above.
See, i'm just a decent(regular) cook, so all the expert cooks out there please jump in & contribute!!
I would love to hear from you!

    1. Thanks Misha!!
Soya chunk is actually a better idea than egg burji on your pasta recipe.
It gives the look and feel of having meat for vegetarians :-)

Simple Palak Dal (Spinach Dal Recipe)

Palak Dal is one of the simplest of recipes, at the same time very rich and healthy too. It works very well with both rice and roti. It is a welcome change to the mundane Dal Fry for sure. Not many add tomatoes to this Dal, but I did - because I like the mild sourness it brings to the Dal. Ingredients : 1)Toor Dal - 1/2 cup 2)Spinach - 1 bunch(chopped, I used the stem as well) 3)Green Chilli - 1(slit) 4)Small Onions or shallots - 4(chopped or slit or whole) 5)Tomato - 1(small, chopped) 6)Whole Red chilli - 2 7)Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp 8)Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp 9)Asafetida - 1 pinch 10)Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp 11)Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp(optional) 12)Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp 13)Oil - 1 tsp 14)Ghee - 1/2 tsp Preparation : 1)Soak Toor Dal for 30 minutes in water. 2)In a pressure cooker, add soaked toor dal with enough water, turmeric powder, asafetida, salt, slit green chilli, shallots and tomatoes. Cook for 4 whistles. 3)Heat oil in a frying pan, add cumin, mustard seeds and...

RIP 'Google Reader' and what next?

We all know ' Google Reader ' would shut it's service down on the 1st of July this year. If you are not aware, then try logging into Reader, you get a popup reminder like the one shown in the picture below. There are so many people, who logs into Reader as the first thing in the morning than logging into their own blogs, for them this shut down means letting go of a helping hand. And the worst thing is, there are umpteen number of alternatives available in the market for free, so which one to choose? To be honest with you, there are pluses and minuses in each and every product. But there are 2 Reader alternatives which come close to Google Reader and that is Feedly and Digg ! I'm somehow inclined to try  Feedly , so here I have jotted down some basic information to get started. If you already are using some other alternative, good for you! - You don't have to read further, coz this post is only about Feedly! Ok, So why do you think Google is shutting down the Reade...

What NOT to do with Social Media!

“What happens in 'Vegas' stays in 'Vegas'; what happens on 'Twitter' stays on 'Google' forever!” -  Jure Klepic Ever heard this quote before? Although, the quote is sarcastic, isn't it scary? For the past one week, we have been hearing news about NSA( National Security Agency ), PRISM( A Govt. program, where corporates are supposed to provide user's data shared in social media and call records to Govt. ) & several other Govt. agencies gathering personal data out of social media et al. Here comes the question: Why do NSA or Govt. spy on our personal information? What do they achieve, by doing this? A brief overview -> According to me, Govt. and the National Security agencies have always spied on the shared information available online. Only now, we are getting to know that our data is being monitored, thanks to a Whistle Blower named " Edward Snowden ". Why is this freaking people out?  Mainly because of over-sharing of personal ...
