I went to a convenient store nearby to buy regular items for the week, I happened to see a tiny box of cookies with no name or brand on it. The storekeeper Ajay, was actually giving away cookie pieces to all the parties who seem to be interested (for free). So had a tiny piece & it was just out of the world - fresh, crispy on the outside & soft on the inside, smells like it is just out of the oven. So I bought one box for me & my room mate.
The size of the cookie was small & just right for a mini dessert after lunch or a snack along with a cup of tea in the evening. The sweetness was perfect(not too much or not too little either). It costed me 45 bucks for 10 pieces. I thought, it is a decent value for money.
Then I started thinking about what could have been the ingredient of this simple but tasty recipe. So here is the picture of the cookie & I jotted down some items that might have gone into making this cookie.
The cookie box:
A better picture to see the texture of the cookie:
This is what I could think of,
1)All purpose flour
2)Gram Flour
3)Sugar
4)Ghee
5)Baking powder(probably)
So readers/viewers can fill me up here, by giving your idea of ingredients which might have gone into making the cookie pictured above or let me know as to what I could be missing in the ingredient list jotted above.
See, i'm just a decent(regular) cook, so all the expert cooks out there please jump in & contribute!!
I would love to hear from you!

Nice recipe and blog.... Thank u so much for visiting m space and another option of my pasta recipe would be minced soya chunks , my mom does it tats way too :)
ReplyDeleteJust a suggestion
Thanks Misha!!
DeleteSoya chunk is actually a better idea than egg burji on your pasta recipe.
It gives the look and feel of having meat for vegetarians :-)
looks similar to the nan khatai..yummy cookies!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't i think of that???
DeleteOn that case, I'm missing Sooji(semolina) from the ingredient - is that right?
I think they are nan khatais.
ReplyDeleteI clearly did not think of that, I guess i went with the way the storekeeper was selling to make it sound up-to-date :)
DeleteI guess, I'm missing Sooji(semolina) from the list!!
You listed the ingredients perfectly well Pavithra.. And the missing ingredient semolina is again what you mentioned yourself.. Yummy cookies dear :-)
ReplyDeleteHey Thanks Nilu!
DeleteHaHa, I could not even recollect when I penned down this post, thanks for dropping by Nilu!
