A simple, refreshing and tangy rasam. No specific ingredients required and no need to grind anything, you don't even need Dal extract to make this rasam, can make this with whatever is lying around in kitchen :-)! Simply put, you are gonna spend hardly 5 minutes in making this rasam and it definitely tastes good with hot plain rice. Fryums or Pappad goes very well with this humble rasam.

DeleteHey good to know that you love south Indian recipes :-)
And I have always enjoyed Gujarati cuisine, very rich and sweet, love it any day!!
Our all time fav is rasam, any variety, any flavor is welcomed by my other half. Sometimes he is so tired of trying and eating my new recipes. He actually quietly request for a humble rasam with sardine parathal. Lovely ingredients and the lemons are good replacement for tamarind to splatter the sour punch.
ReplyDeleteI know this humble rasam makes for one lovely meal!! That too, when one is tired and has no time to fix an elaborate meal! I have heard of sardine peratal, never tried though!!
