Fun with Mr.Acne

Can somebody have fun with Acne? Simple answer, Nope. But there can be funny incidents under the purview of Acne, right?  Here is one:
I like a clean face, but yearly once a single pimple from no where pops up & stays in some part of my face & takes a sojourn for a week or two & goes off. This is a yearly ritual for Mr.Acne & he considers my face as a vacation spot. I'm sure, some of you can relate to this.
I had a presentation to give to a set of colleagues on a Friday, so I prepared damn well & was oozing with confidence as always. The day before the presentation, I got up in the morning only to see my unwelcomed guest Mr Acne who had already broken into my face. Disgruntled & sad 'me' ran towards "God of Internet", yes you guessed it right, I opened 'Google' & started searching a quick fix to get rid of my single acne within 24 hours. Search went on for 5 minutes & I happen to stumble upon an advice by one of those Beauty Gurus(Not gonna name her!). Guess what she had written on her site, "Apply a dab of tooth paste onto the acne to get a quick fix". And she had explained what is the content in tooth paste that does this magic fix. I was so damn satisfied with her explanation.

I was like: Man, why didn't I ever think of this! It was Thursday night, I washed my face & applied a dab of 'Colgate' paste on to the acne which was hardly visible. I slept happily that night, without knowing what was waiting for me the next day.

The alarm rang sharp at 6:00 AM & I ran to the mirror expecting a clean face. Boy, what was I thinking!
To my shock, I saw my teeny-tiny-not-so-visible acne grown double folded & that too pitch black in color, guess what had happened, the tooth paste burnt down my acne! The only other thing missing was a smoke :-) - It would have looked like a house burning down otherwise!! Ah, can this get any worser on a day I should look my best! I was scolding the 'Beauty Guru' profusely. Well, the presentation went just fine, but all through out I was very conscious to not to turn right. It took nearly a month to get back my skin. I had a good laugh sharing the story with my cousin. You know, we sail through every trouble one way or the other, don't we?

So the take-away from this incident is that,
NEVER EVER APPLY TOOTH PASTE ON YOUR ACNE(Period)

Onion and Tomato Chutney

If you are one of those, who is bored of the regular coconut chutney day-in-day-out, then this chutney will be a life saver. It is a good mix of onion, tomato and coconut sauteed with spices and ground to perfection. This goes very well with Idli, Dosa and also as a side to Curd Rice.
